Last Tuesday (2), the host was congratulated by Kumail Nanjiani for having “gotten on Trump’s radar.”
“For weeks he was going after [Jimmy] Fallon, [Jimmy] Kimmel, and [Stephen] Colbert, and I was like, ‘What does a girl have to do?’” joked Nanjiani, while Seth Meyers laughed. “Because you talk about him too!”.
The “Eternals” actor pulled out his phone to show Donald Trump’s angry outburst on his social network. “Oh, that’s kind of you, thank you,” Meyers replied sarcastically, as the audience laughed.
The host laughed when Nanjiani read that Trump had called him an “insecure child” and said that “Late Night” had “no audience at all.”

“What I love is that he called Colbert untalented. He called Kimmel even less talented than Colbert. And then he called Fallon insecure. And for you, he combined all three!” explained Nanjiani.
“Yeah! That’s kind of cool. In a way, it’s almost like he’s saying: ‘You know, he’s got a little bit of everything for everyone,’” replied Seth Meyers.
Donald Trump lashed out at Meyers after discovering that NBC had renewed the host’s contract until 2028.
